r/ r/MaliciousCompliance - 2 hr. ago Chubby-1965 Microrage S My in-laws needed a new microwave so I went to WOart for their black Friday specials offered all November. I went to self check-out and it rang up higher than the internet ad and the clerk told me it was on-line only. I went out into the parking lot, ordered it on-line, and went back in to pick it up. They had already returned it from the check-out area so I asked a manager if I could just get it, get a receipt, and leave. It was 8:30

me no, as it would "mess up their metrics". I said fine, I would have it delivered. I went home, cancelled the pick-up to "mess with their metrics", re-ordered and had it delivered to their house, 30 miles away. Ironically, the original order was ready for pick-up at 9:00 am but I was already home. When they finally delivered it to my in-laws, I watched the driver cruise around the neighborhood on-line because he was lost. So their metrics have a cancelled order, free delivery, as well has added

CoderJoe12 hr. ago Capitalism at it's finest. Some VP will point to their metrics and claim, "My team made these sales happen." They'll probably get promoted for it, even though they're costing the company money. ☺ 41 ↓ C Reply ↑ Share fatdjsin 2 hr. ago "' - SEEE! people ARE ordering online !!! my department is booming, i told y'a ! i'm a great leader, i just had to cut the online prices" 41 ↓ Reply ↑ Share

grauenwolf 49 min. ago Online only prices are not only a good way to off your customers, it can also get you sued. If your website isn't 100% ADA compliant, then it's considered discrimination to offer lower prices than what people who are disabled can get. 4 1 凸 Reply ↑ Share

Triviajunkie95 47 min. ago I agree with your tactics and would have done the same. The part is the instore people having to follow stupid protocol from the higher ups. The even worse part is by making things cheaper for online delivery, they are negating instore sales which should be priority. Get your for the low low and get out. Not deliver for the low low and lose money. your Make it make sense. Reply - 4 1 1 ↓ Share …..

AccidentalGirl Toy 23 min. ago In science, you develop a theory, and then come up with ways to prove or disprove said theory. In economics, you develop a theory, and then try to persuade other economists that your theory is a good theory (great theory, the best theory). So economics isn't a science. It's a religion. ↑ 1 Reply ↑ Share 凸

Neither_Ad3745 43 min. ago My child had a field trip and needed a disposable camera. I looked online and Walmart had them, 27 exposures, for less than $15. So I went to the store and found it for about $18. I ordered it online and got it later that day. Curbside. ↑ 1 13 Reply ↑ Share

azure-skyfall 28 min. ago No, the workers use their brains. It's not THEIR money they are wasting, it's Walmart's. Instead, the minimum wage employees are 1) saving time on the busiest day of the year and 2) preventing a possible inventory mix-up that they would be blamed for. Something as simple as a microwave can cause inventories to be tangled so badly it takes days of manpower to re- inventory the whole section. And of course flows downhill with issues like that. 41↓ Share Reply

Illustrious_Dark_803 13 min. ago ● Solid effort, but coming from a Walmart employee, it didn't mess up and metrics or anything and the delivery service is thru a third party company (I mean this not to be mean in any way or sarcastic, just stating a fact) Reply ↑ Share ↑ 1 ↓
